M578 recovery vehicle

This vehicle utilized the same chassis as M107 Self-Propelled Gun and M110 Self-Propelled Howitzer.  This is officially designated a "Light Armored Recovery Vehicle".   It was designed as a heavy lifting crane for barrel replacements of self-propelled guns.   It saw use in the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm.
