The 3.67 inch caliber smoothbore M1841 6-pounder field gun was manufactured from 1841 to 1863. It was considered obsolete by the Civil War but found usage by both the Union and Confederate Armies. The 65.6 inch long bronze barrel was made by various manufacturers.
